An extremely and intricately carved bog oak and gold brooch, depicting three Whippets / Italian Greyhounds leashed beneath a leafy tree. Set within a very fine 18 carat gold mount. English, circa 1960.

A fabulous 18 carat gold, diamond ruby brooch of a head study of a King Charles Cavalier by Charles-Eugène Thiénot.The dog has cabochon cut ruby eyes and wears a diamond collar and bow mille grain and platinum set with 14 old cut diamonds. The reverse is inscribed “C Thiénot 3”. The clasp is further stamped and assayed. French, circa 1905. Charles-Eugène, and highly respected French jeweller, sculptor and Art Noveau artist who exhibited at the prestigious Paris Salon, circa 1900. Such pieces included canine and cat subjects. French, circa 1905

A very finely worked and well detailed 19th century gold, platinum and 38 old cut matching diamond brooch in the form of a Royal Mail four-in-hand coaching / carriage brooch. The carriage with four wheels, two movable and wearing platinum tyres. The swingle tree acting as a safety clasp. The carriage door is adorned with a heraldic swan. English circa 1890.

The cat wears a gold set old cut ruby collar, has an old cut emerald eyes, it’s body is densely covered in old cat diamonds Playing with a real ball the paws are finely and deeply carved, as are facial details and the tail. 21 ) An Erbach "Black Forest" ivory carved Italian Greyhound / Whippet brooch tie / stick pin
A "Black Forest" ivory carved standing Greyhound stick pin. Such carvings were from German workshop of the Graf von Erbach-Erbach in Odenwald, and the Kehrer family at Erbach, Ernst (working 1830-40) and his son Edouard (1812-63). They were made from around 1830 to 1860. Examples can be seen in the jewellery collection of the British Museum, London, for example there is a brooch with the same dog seated with stag and deer. German, circa 1850.

A 14 carat gold set enamel head study of a Boston Terrier set with old cut diamond eyes. The reverse of the stick pin is marked “14K”. Such work was made in Newark New Jersey, by the likes of Henry Blank & Co., A.J. Hedges, Krementz & Co, Rilker Brothers etc.... American circa 1915.

A rare English ‘Crystallo-Ceramie’ / ‘sulphide’ cameo four-in-hand coaching / carriage gold set brooch. ‘Crystallo-Ceramie’ / ‘sulphide’ jewellery was patented in 1831 by the glassmaker Apsley Pellatt. Such jewellery was very fashionable in the 1830’s and 1840’s. English circa 1840.
