An 18 carat gold brooch of two seated Cairn Terriers retailed by "Garrard The Crown Jewellers". One dog wears a platinum collar, both have platinum details to eyes and noses. Assayed London 1968, 18 carat and signed "G & Co", Garrard & Co Ltd. This brooch comes with it original box "Garrard The Crown Jewellers" bearing the royal warrant "By Appointment to H M The Queen Goldsmiths & Crown Jewellers Garrard & Co Ltd". 22.2gms

Enamel on porcelain of Princess Victoria's favourite spaniel, "Dash", a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. After a painting by Sir Edwin Landseer RA (1802-1873) given to the Princess on her birthday 24th May 1836. Perhaps by William Bishop Ford (1832-1922) who enamelled this subject on copper and gold, but was also work in 1855 for Herbert Minton of Stoke on Trent enamelling on porcelain.

A silver book mark with Setter’s head. Assayed Birmingham 1908, and with makers mark “C.P.B”, Charles Penny Brown. Brown was a London silver smallworker of fancy items, they also made a range of bookmarks with different breeds of dog's heads. They exhibited at the ‘British Industries Fair of 1915’. English, 1908.

An ivory carved "Black Forest" depicting three Labrador type dogs, 18 carat gold set brooch. Assayed “OR 750” and marked “LB”. Such carvings were from German workshop of the Graf von Erbach-Erbach in Odenwald, and the Kehrer family at Erbach, Ernst (working 1830-40) and his son Edouard (1812-63). They were made from around 1830 to 1860. German, circa 1850.
