An oil on canvas of a pair of seated collared Samoyed dogs on wearing a blue bow by Arthur Heyer (German 1872-1931). Note the luxuriant velvet curtain background and oriental rug. German, circa 1900 Heyer was born in Haarhausen in Germany. And was a painter and illustrator. He is well known for his animal subjects, especially cats. He also illustrated books. He died in Budapest, Hungary
