Condamy, Charles Ferdinand de - France (circa. 1847)

He was born in 1847.

De Condamy specialised in sporting and animal pictures especially hunting and dogs, but perhaps best known in France as the painter of the ?chasse?.

These were usually in watercolour, and sometimes in sets, pairs, fours or sixes.

He was born in Paris, and schooled under F?lix Joseph Barias, a miniaturist and porcelain painter.

He exhibited very successfully at the Paris Salon from 1878 - 1882.
