A Paragon S Fox lady's umbrella modelled with a carved and painted English Setter handle on Nilgiri cane attributable to the Czilinsky family. The dog wears a gold collar and its eyes double glass inlaid. Labelled to the frame 'Paragon S Fox & Co Limited'. The 18 carat gold feral marked 'V&S' English. August Czilinsky and his two brothers, (Emil and Ferdinand junior) and father, Ferdinand carved many dog headed canes for the prestigious West End London cane and umbrellas retailers Swaine & Adeney and Brigg and Paragon S Fox & Co Limited.
