Enamel on copper brooch of a standing black Scottish Terrier, made by the Manchester firm of Kenart, they were introduced at Crufts circa 1923 and the company stopped making them in the 1970s. Stamped to the reverse “Kenart”. English, circa 1930.

Enamel miniature set as a gold pendant of “Grip” the Skye Terrier, by William Bishop Ford (English 1832-1922). Popularised by James Bateman’s (English, 1815-1849) painting and subsequent engraving published by Lloyd Brothers & Co., in 1848. English, circa 1865. A similar pendant of this enamel by William Bishop Ford (1832-1922) was previously in the Commendatore Melville A Jamieson loaned to the Victoria & Albert Museum around 1929.
