An oil on canvas of the seated Scottish Terrier "KC" by Lionel Osborne. KC is seen sitting in a window looking out onto a formal garden in High Street, Rainham, Kent. K.C. was owned by Lionel Walter Alfred Osborne and named after Kent College Canterbury, the school attended by Osborne. The artist Lionel Osborne was Lionel Walter Alfred Osborne father. Provenance by descent from Thomas Osborne. Signed bottom left “L Osborne” and dated “42”. English 1942.

Signed bottom right “C F Tunnicliffe”. English, circa 1966. Provenance: Tunnicliffe travelled to Belgrave Place, SW1 around 1966 to sketch the pug Benny. He then executed the watercolour at his studio in Anglesea and sent the picture back to London . It has remained in the family by descent since then.

Brown was a London silver smallworker of fancy items, they also made a range of bookmarks with different breeds of dog's heads. They exhibited at the ‘British Industries Fair of 1915’.
