A head study of a Miniature Pinscher wearing a red belled collar posed within a floral surround by Eugène Petit (1839–1886). Signed and dated bottom right “Eugène Petit 1906”. Petit specialized in still life paintings of flowers and fruits, as well as sporting dogs, but was also a textile designer. This is possibly a textile design. French, 1906.
