The blue bow suggests that this Pomeranian was a pet. Interesting in Miss Ives book “Show Pomeranians” (1911) she writes “Don’t take a dog in the ring with a ribbon bow on, or a bow of any kind, or a mark of identification of any description. The bow stamps the exhibitor as a tyro”. Signed and dated "E L TANNER 1919". English, 1919

Vivienne Peterson writes of the dog “clearly of good breeding typical of Poms from Miss Hamilton’s Rozelle kennel or Miss Chell’s Belper line. Miss Hamilton lived at Batheaston until her death in 1918 andc Miss Chell lived in Derbyshire”. English, Circa 1920. SOLD
