A hexagonal bronze of Pointer and Setter in tree planted landscape pointing setting Partridge, hiding in wheat, retailed by James Muirhead and Son of Glasgow. The image inspired Pierre-Jules Mne, The Partridge Hunt / Chasse la perdrix. Stamped to the reverse JAS. MUIRHEAD & SONS GLASGOW. Muirhead were known to have a Paris agent to source and purchase the very best art coming to the market. In fact they some objects were marked Jas. Muirhead & Sons Paris. French, circa 1880.

After a painting by Martin Theodore Ward (English, c.1799-1874). English, 1831. Titled “The Pointer” and dedicated “To the Right Honourable Baron Northwick F.S.A. &c. &c., this print is with permission humbly dedicated by his lordship's most obedient servants, Moon, Boys & Graves”. “London, Published Jan. 1 1831 by Moon, Boys & Graves. Printsellers to His Majesty, 6.Pall Mall.” English,1831.

Pointers" “ a photogravure of a brace of Pointers published 1906, as part of The Sportsman's Calendar by The Berlin Photographic Company after the painting by Maud Alice Earl (English, 1864-1943 The Sportsman's Calendar featured twelve of Maud Earl's works, January - "A Check .... Beagles"; February - "... Spaniel"; March - "Nipped in the Bud - Wire-Haired Terrier"; April - "Raw Material - Welsh Springer Puppies"; May - "Visiting The Coops - Ilchester Retriever"; June - "The Long Vacation - Foxhounds"; July - "Near The Holt - Otterhounds"; August - "The Twelfth ... Setter"; September - "Brace-Work ... Pointers"; October - "A Busy Team ... Cockers"; November - "Full Cry ... Foxhounds"; December - "Tender and True ... Retriever". English, 1906. The Sportsman's Calendar edition was limited to just 100 sets, each signed by Maud Earl, and came in a case designed so that a different that a different photogravure could be displayed for on month of the year.

Titled "Tense Moments" and dedicated "To my friend Arthur Eggleston" in pencil to the margin bottom left, and signed bottom right "Ward Binks Pinx Sculp". English, circa 1930. The Eggleston's, father JT and son Arthur breed some of the greatest pointers of the day. Many of today's dogs contain their bloodlines.

"Pointers, To Ho! To Ho!" by Sir Thomas Landseer ARA (English, 1795-1880), after the 1820 painting by Sir Edwin Henry Landseer (English 1802 - 1873). Engraved 1873 and published on the 10th April 1874 by Messrs. Thos. Agnew and Sons of Pall Mall, there is an example in the collection of the British Museum. A lithographed version of Edwin Landseer charcoal drawing "Pointers, To Ho! To Ho!" was printed by Vincent Robert Alfred Brooks (1814 - 1885) in 1866. An example is in the collection of the British Museum.

The enamel mounted in an Etruscan revival gold frame of delicate gold wire turned in swirling rosettes in the manner of such Jewellers as Castellani, Edwin Streeter and Fontenay. English, Circa 1870. Possibly inspired by Sir Edwin Henry Landseer (English 1802 - 1873), 1820 painting, "Pointers, To Ho! To Ho!". English, Circa 1870. A rectangular micro-mosic set in black vitreous paste of a standing Pointer working near undergrowth where a rabbit can be seen within the flora. Possibly from the works shops at 134 Via del Babuino, Rome of Luigi Cavaliere Moglia, (1813ca - 1878). A similar mosaic by Luigi Cavaliere Moglia is illustrated in page 112, of Roman Mosaic L'Arte del Micromosaico Fra "700" E "800" by Roberto Grieco and Arianna Gambino Italian, circa 1850
