Signed and dated bottom left "WLLUCAS 1932", and titled bottom right "Newmarket Starlight". Inscribed to the reverse: "Newmarket Starlight Winner of many prizes including Challenge Certificate in the Joint Terrier show as a puppy. (Beat the champion dog for the Cup for the best Wire) Certificate and Cup for best bitch of any breed in show Shyford the Cup for any breed bred by Exhibitors the Cup for best terrier any breed at show (Sold for £500)" Newmarket Starlight sold to America. Also to the reverse gallery/framers label "J.Ward & Sons High Street, Newmarket"

Labelled in ink to the reverse “Nᴼ. 3 “Nuppy” Dorothy Oliver Liberton House Mid Lothian”. Set in gilt pendant frame. This is believed to be on of the artist’s 1907 exhibits at The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts. Circa 1907.

The etching of " The Little Gipsy" a seated gypsy girl with a seated Wire-haired Fox Terrier by a working cauldron by Herbert Thomas Dicksee RE (1862 - 1942). The etching was exhibited Royal Academy in 1903, catalogue number 1310. This is the rarer proof on vellum signed in pencil "Herbert Dicksee" by the artist.
