In gilt tooled leather box when later retailed during Edward VII reign by Goldsmith & Silversmiths. The lid of the box reads “BY APPOINTMENT TO HM. THE KING. THE Goldsmith & Silversmiths Company Lᵗᵈ., 112, REGENT Sᵗ., LONDON, W.”

The Greyhound’s legs, tail, upper and lower body with chased detail. Victorian, English, circa 1880. In later box when retailed during King George V reign by Garrard & Co in . The lid of the box reads “Garrard & Co Ltd Goldsmith, Jewellers & c TO THE KING By Special Appointment TO THE CROWN 24, ALBEMARLE ST., W.” The box imbossed in gold “Garrard”. SOLD

A standing King Charles Cavalier Spaniel unusually wearing a Poodle cut. Scrolling floral bas holds amethyst seal depicting a lion balancing on one leg surrounded by seven stars within a shield, a similar lion balances on the top of the shield.
